While the “new” site is 99% operational (not unlike the revised Death Star from Jedi) there are still plenty of features and revisions that need to be ironed out. As you may have noticed there are now “storylines” featured on the sidebar and in the top menu for easier accessibility for those brave enough to challenge the backlog of craziness.
Another feature I’m hoping to get off the ground is separating the “Special” and “Holiday” cover images (such as the Halloween Horror Poster Parody sweep back in ’07, the Black Friday Ninja Squad and the Lost Finale Reaction Comic) into their own sub-catagory and page for easier viewing and less storyline interruption. Until then, please bear with any hiccups in continuity around most major holidays.
Cheers, folks!
This seems to be another one of those weeks where I underestimated how busy I really am. Regardless, I’ve vowed that another hiatus is not an option and missing days is just irresponsible to you gentle reader-folk. So along with a full time (?) job and part time at 2 box offices in town I’ve also got the movie review this week for the radio station (A Nightmare on Elm Street, which I’ve been hearing plenty of negativity about as is…) and then more training for their pre-recorded overnight programming which will in turn lead to a live-air time slot in the near future.
Last week marked my first time on the radio (not spouting off my cinematic contrivances, for a change) as an actual DJ. Regardless of the fact that it was at 4am and the only people listening in at that point are likely to be insomniacs, it’s still a cool feeling. This week I may get more of the airtime though since it’s still training that’s left to be seen. Eventually it’ll be every Thursday night/Friday morning from 2am to 5:30am on WNRN.
As I write this there are only 4 hours of Lost in the pipe. Apparently there’ve been script leaks for the finale, though whether they’re legit or not remains to be seen (not like I’ll even bother reading any of them until it’s all said and done.) This week’s episode was particularly brutal. The series is on a fast track to the end and it doesn’t appear to be slowing for anything. A lot of people seem to be upset with the fact that the series is ending and honestly, I’m glad that it gets to go out on its own terms. It’s a series that NEEDS a proper ending, not something that can just go on and on while the writers flounder ideas around in feeble attempts to keep it afloat year after year (i.e. Smallville, Heroes, you see where I’m going with this.)
And I’ve rambled on for long enough.
Good night, gentle readers.
~Wil
